Orange Cupcakes

Sorry for the long absence. I didn’t bake much but tried my hands on orange cupcakes since it’s the Lunar New Year. I didn’t manage to taste the cupcakes because all 12 cupcakes were taken before I could even have a bite.

If I were to make it again, I would add in more orange juice so that it will taste more orange taste to it.

Do follow me on my other blog where I do sometimes post about cakes/cupcakes too!

Happy Chinese New Year! Hope the year of the horse brings you luck and happiness! 🙂

Nutella Topped Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake

Last year, everyone was talking about red velvet cake or cupcake.

Everyone was going gaga abou it like it’s so delicious.

I was curious about it.

So, I searched online for the recipe

and found nothing special about it since they used red colouring

and cream cheese.

A few months ago, I tried it for the first time at Coffee Bean.

The texture of the cake seems similar to fruit cake.

The cheese tasted nice though.

I wanted to try my hands on it too.

I’ve seen friends baking about it but I wanted to bake something different

yet unique and I goggled it.

This recipe from Lauren’s latest caught my eyes.

Check this out:

Sounds interesting?

Lets move on to the recipe.

You’ll need:

12 Chocolate Oreos

1 pack of cream cheese

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (I love putting more because of the aroma)

1 egg

red food coloring

1/2 cup nutella

Don’t forget to preheat your oven at 175 degrees for 10-15 minutes!

Then line all the 12 oreos on the cupcake containers.

Whipped cream cheese and sugar until it is all mixed.

Then pour in the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, egg and and red colouring.

Mix eveything together until it is all combined.

Then spoon the batter over to oreos until it is 2/3,

Bake it for 175 Degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Try for 20 minutes and check it.

Then cool it at room temeprature before storing it in the refridgerator.

I coudn’t resist and took a bite.

When it is time to serve it, remove it from the fridge,

remove the cupcake container,

and spread Nutella on it.

It’s up to you on how much Nutella you want to spread on it.

Looks delicious and you’re drooling as you’re reading this post?

Then, bake it!

My attempt at baking Nutella cupcakes for my friends!

A closer look at the nutella cupcakes.

Vanilla Cupcakes

I love this recipe I found online.

Because of this recipe, I have ‘personalised’ some of the cupcakes I made.

It’s such an easy recipe and you can tweak it according to your preference.

I’ve always wanted to do rainbow cupcakes and watched quite a number of videos.

Most of it shows that one needs to bake layers by layers.

But that’s only if you’re baking a cake not a cupcake.

But at that time, I wasn’t aware of it since I’m a beginner in baking cupcakes.

But after witnessing it with my own eyes, then I realised it’s actually easy to make it.

My first attempt at rainbow cupcakes.

I used 3 colours.

The second time baking rainbow cupcakes but this time with the green icing.

The recipe on the YouTube will teach you on how to make the icing too.

But I advice you to cut down on the sugar for the icing.

It’s really sweet.

You can cut it by half.

I baked 100 of the vanilla cupcakes for a family event.

This is my favourite of all.

Mum finally bought the icing equipments and I tried it out.

So, if you want to do rainbow cupcakes or vanilla cupcakes,

just follow the above recipes.

But if you are making the icing, please do cut down on the sugar.

Chocolate Lava Cupcakes

I love chocolate, who doesn’t?

Thus, the first cupcakes I want to bake is something related to chocolates.

I love Dominos Lava Cake and I wonder how do they make it.

Thus, I went on to search on YouTube for the recipe.

I think I’m a lazy baker because I usually find a recipe that is easy and

the ingredients are usually easy to find and not expensive.

So here is the recipe that I found on Youtube:

It’s super easy.

I think this is my first attempt in baking!

It’s really gooey. Love it.

So if you want an easy recipe and not time consuming, try this recipe out.

Good luck!

Share with me on how it turns out!
